⚽ Lionesses Lead the Way: U9 Octavias Enjoy Unforgettable Mascot Experience

At Timsbury Athletic Youth FC, we believe football is about more than just results. It’s about confidence, inspiration and creating opportunities that help young players grow both on and off the pitch.

At the end of last year, our U9 Lionesses (Octavias) were given a fantastic opportunity to be mascots for Keynsham Town Ladies during their 3–1 victory over Bristol Rovers Women — and it’s safe to say it was an experience they’ll never forget.

A Day to Remember for Our Girls

The girls proudly led the teams out onto the pitch, soaking up the matchday atmosphere before watching a brilliant performance from the home side. At half-time, they were invited onto the pitch themselves — a moment that instantly turned excitement into inspiration.

To top it all off, a couple of our Lionesses were even welcomed into the post-match huddle to hear the captain’s victory speech. Experiences like that don’t just create memories — they build belief.

Building Pathways in Girls’ Football

As one of the area’s fastest-growing girls-only football programmes, the Timsbury Lionesses are committed to providing opportunities that show our players what’s possible.
