Codes of Conduct

Respect. Responsibility. The Right Environment.

At Timsbury Athletic Youth FC, we believe that creating the right environment — both on and off the pitch — is key to helping our players thrive. Whether you’re a coach, parent, volunteer, or supporter, we all have a part to play in making football fun, safe and inclusive for everyone.

That’s why we follow The FA’s Respect Codes of Conduct, which are in place to ensure every player has a positive experience, no matter their role, age, or ability.

As an FA Charter Standard club, we’re committed to promoting respect, teamwork and fair play at every level of the game.

Code of Conduct - Young Players

Encourages all young players to play fairly, show respect to others, and follow the rules — both on and off the pitch.

It promotes positive behaviour, good sportsmanship and helps create a fun, inclusive and safe environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

Code of Conduct - Parents

Encourages parents to create a positive, supportive environment for children’s football by celebrating effort, respecting referees and coaches and staying behind the touchline.

Parents are asked to model positive behaviour, support their child’s development and avoid any form of offensive or disruptive conduct.

Code of Conduct - Match Officials

The FA (Football Association) code of conduct for match officials emphasizes honesty, impartiality, fair play, and positive behavior.

It requires them to apply the Laws of the Game consistently, manage games calmly, and address misconduct appropriately.

The code also stresses the importance of respecting players and colleagues, setting a positive example, and communicating effectively.
